Houston, Texas is a city of seeming contradictions. It has 4.5 million people surrounded by hundreds of miles of cattle ranches and farms. Home to massive mega-churches, Houston was the first major city to have an openly LGBT+ mayor, and she was re-elected until term limits kicked in. And, with one of the lowest costs of living, the city has nearly 100,000 households worth over a million dollars.
So, it only makes sense that I’m from there.
